Hehuanshan, Taiwan

A three-day field trip for Viburnum research at mountains (most of these are more than 2,000 m above sea level) around Mount Hehuanshan (3,422 m elevation).

Viburnum parvifolium (小葉莢蒾)

Acer morrisonense (台灣紅榨楓)

Lonicera acuminata (阿里山忍冬)

Abies kawakamii (台灣冷杉), which is dominant in the forests above 3,000 m elevation.

Tripterospermum lanceolatum (披針葉肺形草)

Photinia niitakayamensis (玉山假沙梨)

Shining blue drupes of the Viburnum propinquum (高山莢蒾).
